Throughout his career, Rabin has demonstrated strength in researching and analyzing complex and novel legal issues; his specialty is generating concise and accurate legal memoranda, motions, pleadings, and briefs.

In addition to advising seasoned lawyers in their own complex legal issues, Rabin’s career accomplishments include: (1) being instrumental in the Second Appellate District’s decision in Ahdout v. Hekmatjah (2013) Cal.App.4th 21 [which held that an arbitrator’s decision is subject to de novo review under Code of Civil Procedure § 1281.6 when the award violates Business and Professions Code § 7031, notwithstanding the Supreme Court’s decision in Moncharch v. Heily & Blase (1992) 3 Cal.4th 1]; (2) drafting a motion for summary adjudication in a case where more than $1.8 million was at stake, resulting in a favorable settlement; (3) persuading a trial court to reverse its tentative decision in a case against Wells Fargo; (4) being able to sustain a demurrer, without leave to amend, by requesting judicial notice of admissions made at deposition [notwithstanding the rule that upon demurrer extraneous matters outside the pleadings may not be introduced]; and (5) drafting an opening brief on an issue of first impression (construing the word “chemical” as used in Health & Safety Code § 25249.8 [resulting a successful reversal from the First Appellate District].

Rabin has also drafted successful motions to strike under Code of Civil Procedure § 425.16, petitions for an oppositions to, writs of mandate and supersedeas’, opening briefs, and respondent briefs. Rabin is gifted with a quasi-photographic memory, as well an uncanny ability to analyze the law from an angle that other lawyers do not see.

Rabin obtained his B.A. in economics (cum laude) from California State University of Northridge and his J.D. from Southwestern. He passed the Bar Exam in 2010.
